CareAI Assistant

One calm place to keep track of caring for someone with dementia.

Who this page is for: Family caregivers, professional caregivers and small care facilities

The problem in Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago’s population is ageing, and most dementia care happens at home, unpaid and unsupported. The caregiver is very often an adult daughter or son who is also working and raising a family.

Caregiver burnout is the failure mode, and it is invisible until it is a crisis. Object (a) of the Foundation’s Constitution names tools to aid senior citizens and caregivers almost word for word.

What CareAI Assistant does

A care-management platform for families and professional caregivers supporting someone with dementia.

What it can do

  • One structured profile

Medical, cognitive and behavioural information, personal history, preferences, safety and environment, in one place instead of scattered notebooks.

  • Daily logging

Simple daily logging across six categories.

  • Activities and mood

Activity tracking with mood before and after.

  • What actually worked

Behaviour-pattern tracking builds a personalised library of interventions that helped.

  • Flags what a tired caregiver misses

A recommendation engine reviews a rolling window across all categories and flags patterns such as appetite decline, agitation spikes, missed medication, rising caregiver burden, falls and wandering, sleep disruption, mobility decline and social withdrawal.

How the Foundation helps

The Foundation funds sponsored licences and onboarding support for low-income family caregivers.

What sponsored access covers

Sponsored access covers a family caregiver licence for a defined period, plus onboarding support, because the profile setup is thorough and a stressed caregiver may need help completing it.

Who can apply

For family caregivers in Trinidad and Tobago who cannot afford a licence. Places are limited and applying does not guarantee a place. The free resources below need no application at all.
