Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, who sees it and how long we keep it.
Last reviewed 2 September 2026
What we collect
We collect what we need to run the service you asked for: an email address or phone number to sign you in; donor details to issue a receipt and meet anti-money-laundering rules; application answers and supporting documents to assess a request for help; course progress to issue a certificate.
Beneficiary information
Application answers and documents are seen only by the staff who assess and decide applications. They are stored in a private location, are never publicly addressable, and every access is logged. Nothing about an applicant is ever published without a separate, signed, withdrawable consent.
Payments
Card details never touch our systems. Payments are processed by the payment provider you choose. We keep the amount, currency, date, method, designation and receipt number.
Marketing
We only send news and campaign messages if you have said yes, separately, and you can withdraw that with one click. Receipts, application updates and other essential messages are always sent.
Cookies and analytics
One essential cookie keeps you signed in. Visitor analytics run only if you allow them and use a tool that does not track you across sites. See the Cookie Policy.
The assistant
Conversations with the website assistant are anonymous unless you are signed in and have chosen to link them. They are not used to train any model and are deleted after the retention period stated in the assistant.
How long we keep things
Donation, application, decision and disbursement records are kept for at least six years because the law and our Bylaws require it. Other information is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, subject to the six-year retention rule for statutory records. Write to the Foundation at the address on the Contact page.
